(Being Frugal) Social Networking and Couponing – A Goldmine For Savings
By Jennifer Toth,WorldWideHippies – With a second email address and Facebook account, you can search Facebook for all favorite products. Chances are there is a Facebook page for what your looking for. When you “LIKE” the Facebook page, you will see their daily news updates, giveaways, etc. Each time they have a deal or coupon they will post it and you can visit their page. At least once a month, you will also come across great giveaways by keeping a close eye on your newsfeed. A few months ago, when Tide rolled out their Stain Release Tablets, their newsfeed posted a sample giveaway but to my surprise a FULL size package showed up at my door a few weeks later.
You’ve established a phantom email and Facebook page for freebies – don’t be shy. Log in everyday and take a quick look at your newsfeed and enter every
contest that comes your way. You’ll be amazed at the freebies you can win.
In recent months, I have received:
Full Size Suave Professionals Products
Full Size John Freida Foam Hair Color
Tide Stain Release Tablets
Full Size Down Unstopables
A large box of Fiber One Cereal
(4) Protein Bars
A Swiffer Wet Mop Starter Kit
I have also accumulated many trial size samples that have filled one shelf in my linen closet
Only one word of advice. DON’T print out every coupon you come across as you will quickly learn the cost of ink for your printer will outweigh any savings from your coupons. But, DO print out the products that you buy all the time.
My blog, Make A Difference In Cleveland, has links to coupon websites where you can print up to two coupons per computer. Simply look for the printable icon and you will find 100’s of coupons that renew each month. Find your favorite products and start saving today.
