Jeff Sessions doesn’t want you to bogart that joint. In fact, he thinks you are bad person if you even touch it.
Some politicians like to recycle the fear and paranoia. And no better time to do it, now that we have a heroin epidemic. Which wasn’t started by pot of people who smoke it. That was Big Pharms gig.
Yep- it started in the 1970s with Richard Nixon. His generation gap blunders associated pot with hippies and the left and heroin with people of color. His so called “war on drugs” created all those “no knock” warrants and violence. His so called “war on drugs” put people in prison for a dime bag.
Here comes the Reagan’s. They weren’t playing. They had enough of protesters and gassy eyed hippies and decided to throw people in jail for nonviolent drug law offenses. In fact, drug offenses increased from 50,000 in 1980 to over 400,000 by 1997.
Then came Bill Clinton who opted for treatment instead of incarceration. We all know he was toker and smoker who didn’t inhale though. Fair enough.
While Barrack Obama admits he inhaled frequently.
Then there was Bush who started all the drug testing. Not to mention the Swat raids- about 40,000 a year for Americans and factor in most were nonviolent offenses. Misdemeanors.
The current administration is recycling the 1980s drug war. Attorney General Jeff Sessions believes that good people don’t smoke marijuana.
Just say no. This is you brain on drugs.
Most of us remember that propaganda.
Relax. They aren’t coming for your guns. They’re coming for your stash.
