I’ve been seeing that warning more and more lately on social media, especially on Facebook postings. It seems the longer Trump is in power the more his cultist followers feel it’s alright if not downright patriotic to leave some of the vilest responses to the posts they don’t like. Now, I’m not talking about political posts per se; I’m speaking of posts on events that they feel their orange leader would comment on if he saw them. They seem to think they can channel his thoughts on any subject and perhaps they can. He seems to be no better than they are.
Yesterday I began seeing the hate in response to articles posted about the horrific fires in California. Folks were saying that, California should burn to the ground because it’s full of traitorous Libtards and worse. Later that day is when I began seeing warnings placed on the original postings to please not look at the comments and why. Hate like that in those responses can hurt, emotionally and physically.
As of this Tuesday morning as I write this there are at least ten dead in California. Ten human beings and these Trumpists are rejoicing. What does that say about them, worse, what does it say about a man that actively courts them?
The folks that left those comments, at least the ones that I say were not bots, they weren’t Russians, they were Americans. If you have the time, and I and others do, it’s fairly easy to find if a commenter is real or not. Anymore, it’s also become easier to find out if they aren’t. The comments and posts from Russia and others, well they aren’t even trying in some cases to disguise who they are. They are rubbing it in since they’ve been caught and the Trumpists refuse to believe that they manipulated our election via social media and the help of some high placed political people.
People are now saying that Trump is more divisive than Nixon and his crew. I believe that is true. Nixon didn’t deliberately in most cases try to widen the divide between factions during those days. Oh, he was a horrible man who prolonged the war and therefore the casualties to win the presidency, make no mistake. Maybe he didn’t purposefully divide us further because he made the mistake of the power in the people. He held such a low opinion of most of us that he couldn’t be bothered. He believed that the status quo would survive. It didn’t.
Trump on the other hand loves chaos. He knows manipulation. He knows how to pit one against the other, think The Apprentice. Have any of you read The Art of the Deal? More voters should have. You would have seen how the man operates; his lack of ethics of morals, of basic human feelings. This is a man who believes in lying, not spinning, not putting the best face on a negotiation, LYING; and being proud of it.
